Hello my loves,
I hope you’re all doing well and are ready for Christmas festivities! I’ve been having the most hectic few weeks, stressing out about assignments and applying for placements – but what better way to relieve stress than a little (or a lot of) retail therapy? As you must know, it was Black Friday last weekend and working in retail, I understand how crazy it can be (hence why I do all of my shopping online). I wasn’t too overwhelmed by the deals this year but I did manage to grab a few things that were on offer online and thought I’d do a little haul for you to show you the bits I’ve got! If you got any bargains during the Black Friday weekend then I would love to hear about them in the comments below!
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
Now I’ve spoken about how much I love this product in my AW Skincare Essentials |2017 and when I saw it was on offer at John Lewis I just couldn’t say no. I use it every morning and evening to cleanse my face and it just leaves my skin feeling so soft and hydrated and I just can’t get enough of it. You can get it from many different retailers, but on the Liz Earle website it retails for £26.00 for 200ml.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash
My skin has been reflecting my stressful life at the minute, in the sense that I am breaking out and it’s all a bit clogged and bleurgh. I saw that The Body Shop had some offers on and decided to treat myself and my skin (even though I’m pretty confident I managed to buy the one product that wasn’t on offer, but I’m glad I bought it nonetheless). I tried this out for the first time yesterday and it left my skin feelings really fresh and clean and slightly tingly from the tea tree which I loved. I’m hoping it’s going to live up to its promises of clearing my skin but I am liking it so far and you can’t really go wrong by adding a bit of tea tree into your life. You can get it from The Body Shop in store or online and it retails for £6 for 250ml (the one I got to try out) or £8 for 400ml which I will definitely be purchasing in the future.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution
To further add to my skin clearing obsession, I also bought this little thing which is a more concentrated type of tea tree oil (I assumed this would work faster/more effectively). I thought it would give a bit more oomph to the facial wash and after using it twice I can honestly say that my skin feels calmer and less inflamed. It’s also quite refreshing to add into your skincare routine as it mattifies your skin and enables you to feel more awake in the morning, as well as getting your skin prepped for recovery over night time. You can also get this from The Body Shop in store or online and it retails for £13.00 for 50ml.
Carli Bybel x Missguided Burgundy Crushed Velvet Bandeau Top
I’ve been a fan of Carli Bybel for a few years now and ever since I knew she was realising another launch with Missguided I knew I had to get something! The pieces in the collectiontion are for the party season and I am obsessed with this velvet trend at the moment. I think it looks so classy and expensive and the colour is just to die for. I have always been a fan of deep burgundy as I feel like it looks nice against my pale skin and blonde hair, especially with a deep berry lip colour. Missguided had 50% off for Black Friday so I knew I had to get this top as it only cost me £6! Its not on sale anymore but its still a reasonable price and you can get it on Missguided for £12.00.
Pretty Little Thing Petite Kyleigh Black Slinky Wide Leg Trouser
I have been in the market for a pair of trousers for a long time now and I finally found a pair that not only fit my short little legs but also flatter my figure. They are high waisted which I love, sitting just above the belly button. They are fairly fitted to the thigh/bum area (on my legs anyway) and are more wide legged at the bottom. With the Christmas Party season getting in full swing I wanted some staple pieces that I could make a nice dressy outfit with. These slinky back trousers literally go with anything. You can pair it with a blouse, a bandeau top, a crop, a body suit, anything! I’m definitely going to order one of those sequin chain, cowl neck tops to go with this to wear out for my birthday as I think it will look really flattering on my figure and really dressy! These trousers were in the sale for £10.00 but they have gone back up to £12.00 now and aren’t available in black. They are still 8 in brown and grey!
New Look Wide Fit Black Suedette Cross Strap Side Heels
I have to say I am not the biggest fan of heels at all. I end up wearing them for about 5 minutes and my feet are killing me. That’s why I decided to get these little bad boys as the heel is chunky which means I will be able to walk without toppling over (fingers crossed) and they won’t make me want to rip my feet off. I’m only 5ft 2in so it is nice to wear heels once in a while so I don’t feel like an elf but I think these heels look both classy and won’t break my ankle! I think they’ll go really nicely with my PLT trousers and a nice top and I will definitely get my wear out of them! You can buy them from New Look in store or online for £19.99.
Light Silicone Nipple Covers
I don’t know what else to say about this purchase apart from what else is a girl to do when she can’t wear a bra with a top? I always have these in my drawer just in case I need them for an outfit, so I thought I’d pick up a pair with the rest of my shopping. They retail for £5.99 and you can get them from loads of different places, I got mine from New Look.
So that completes my Black Friday Haul! I’m happy with the bits I got, even though for me this was very reserved! I’d love to know some of the bargains you managed to pick up in the comments below!
I hope you all have a lovely week, you’ll be hearing more from me soon.
Love, Holly x
